Make Your Own Cleaning Products
by Gerri Detweiler
Would you like to learn how to make your own natural cleaning products or personal care products to save money and avoid toxic chemicals? Me too! (I don’t know about you but one walk down the cleaning product aisle at the supermarket and I get a headache.) I’ve been subscribing to my guest Matt Jab’s newsletter for a while now and find great ideas every time I read it. I asked Matt to join me to share ideas for getting started on the DIY route and he generously shared a bunch of them!

Matt told me that one of his frustrations is how people are so quick to trust multinational corporate products but so skeptical about a proven homemade natural solution. Ummm, yeah, that struck a chord.
So I am working my way through the projects Matt suggested in this interview. I’ve started with the all-purpose cleaner he suggests (it works), the toothpaste alternative (so-so - still adapting) and am planning on hitting the liquor store soon to create my own deodorant (got your attention now?)
I hope you’ll give these DIY products a try with me and share your experiences in the comments below!
